Privacy Policy
Vitamin Alerts is operated by USA Medical. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the web and mobile app.
Information We Collect
- Account details such as name, email address, phone number, and timezone.
- Social sign-in details when you use Apple or Google sign-in, such as provider account identifier, verified email address, and name if shared.
- Wellness goals you choose during setup, such as sleep, energy, immune support, or recovery.
- Routine data you enter, including USA Medical products, custom vitamins, medications, activities, dosage labels, schedules, reminder channels, and reminder notes.
- Barcode scan data, including UPC, EAN, or GTIN values and product details you add when a bottle is not recognized. We do not store camera images or video for barcode scanning.
- An optional approximate reminder location when you choose sunrise or sunset reminders. We round device coordinates before saving them, do not use background location tracking, and do not store a location history.
- Routine logs, such as whether a scheduled vitamin was marked taken or missed, the local date, source, and logged time.
- Voluntary tracking answers you choose to save, such as water, waking and daytime feeling, sleep quality, ratings, quantities, choices, and notes. You can also create your own optional tracking questions.
- Reward activity, including points, USA Medical reward value, reward transactions, redemption requests, coupon code assignment, and weekly reflection notes.
- Optional supplement supply fields if you choose to provide them, such as servings per container or approximate servings remaining.
- Verification and security data, including login attempts, multi-factor authentication setup, and password reset events.
- Notification data, including alert customization preferences, web push subscriptions, Expo push tokens, device platform, delivery status, and retry metadata.
- Public website analytics data, such as page views and clicks on articles, download links, app-open links, store links, and support email links.
- Operational data such as request logs, timestamps, API schema version, error logs, and diagnostic metrics.
Apple Health and Health Connect
If you choose to connect steps, Vitamin Alerts requests read-only access to step totals from Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android. Imported step totals are read only while you use the tracking screen, remain on your device, and are not uploaded to Vitamin Alerts, our servers, analytics providers, or advertising services. We do not request permission to write health data. You can decline access, disconnect it in the app, or manage it in Apple Health or Health Connect settings. On Android, reading more than 30 days of history requires a separate permission request.
How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account.
- To show your vitamin and medication reminder routine across devices.
- To personalize setup and summarize the routine you enter.
- To match bottle barcodes to catalog products and remember user-added product matches for future scans.
- To calculate local sunrise and sunset times for reminders you choose.
- To show day, week, month, and year tracking history and help you notice simple wellness patterns over time.
- To calculate fixed-schedule rewards, show reward balances, process coupon redemption requests, and prevent reward abuse.
- To send and customize vitamin or medication reminders by email, SMS, web push, or native push when you enable those channels.
- To verify contact methods, support password resets, and protect against abuse.
- To understand which public website pages and calls to action are useful, without sending signed-in vitamin routine or daily check-in data to website analytics tools.
- To monitor reliability, troubleshoot bugs, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Service Providers
We use service providers to operate the app, including cloud hosting, database hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, web push, mobile push, Apple sign-in, Google sign-in, public website analytics, logs, metrics, and crash reporting if enabled. These providers process information only as needed to deliver the service.
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not use wellness goal, vitamin routine, barcode scan, daily check-in, reminder, or optional supply data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not send signed-in app screens to public website analytics.

Data Retention
We keep account, wellness goal, routine, routine history, tracking answers, reward, redemption, reminder, optional reminder location, barcode/product match, and optional supply information while your account is active. We may retain security, audit, coupon fulfillment, and backup records for a limited period when needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal, or operational reasons.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, password hashing, audit logs, and provider-specific security controls to protect the service. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
